According to CrowdStrike Intelligence, a targeted cyberattack campaign active from late September to early October 2026 targeted South Korean financial organizations. The threat actors leveraged an AI pentesting tool named ARTEX to conduct the attacks, resulting in data exfiltration. The activity was first reported by The Hacker News.
