Malware-Framework Extensions Infiltrate Chrome and Edge Web Stores

Multiple extensions for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge were found delivering a malware framework that deployed modules to steal cryptocurrency, sensitive data, and browser history, as well as inject ClickFix lures. The malicious extensions were available in the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. Google and Microsoft have been contacted for comment and are expected to remove the identified extensions.
