Varonis Researchers Detail AvisLoader Malware Loader Using Encrypted P2P and ClickFix Delivery
Security researchers have identified AvisLoader, a Windows malware loader observed using encrypted peer-to-peer communications to protect its command-and-control infrastructure. The malware is delivered via ClickFix social engineering campaigns and establishes persistence through shortcut (.lnk) files placed in startup directories. Varonis researchers reported on the threat's capabilities, including remote command execution and its design to resist disruption of CCO channels.
